  • Fitting charges should be paid on the day, in cash, directly to the sub-contract fitting team.

Estimates as to delivery/or installation dates are given in good faith but are only estimates and are not guaranteed times and should not be relied upon as such. Time is not of the essence of the contract and we will not accept liability for any losses unless we fail to deliver within a reasonable time. Delivery of goods will be deemed to have taken place when they are taken from our vehicle at your delivery address. If you are unable to take delivery we will store your goods for up to one month, free of charge though payment in full for the goods will be required. However, there is a storage charge fee thereafter.

The Company acts as agents for independent self-employed floor-covering installers.

Installation teams are fully vetted and their work is approved to the high standards of The Company. All installation teams have their own liability insurance. Should problems arise after fitting has been completed, this should be taken up with the fitters directly. The Company can also handle any dispute on your behalf however cannot be held directly responsible for issues pertinent to the installation. All customers are welcome to hire their own fitters but we strongly recommend the use of our pre-approved and insured teams of experienced fitters.

  • Once an installation date has been arranged we would require a minimum 2 working days’ notice to re-arrange a date convenient to both parties.
  • Cancellation of an installation date after the minimum 2 working days’ notice will result in the installation charge being reapplied and payable before the rearranged installation date, unless previously discussed and agreed by both parties.
  • The Company expects that all rooms are free from old floor coverings, white goods (i.e. washing machine, fridges, and cookers) also furniture prior to fitting.
  • The Company reserves the right not to proceed with fitting on the agreed date if rooms are not satisfactorily cleared, we do understand however that some furniture cannot be moved by our customers and our fitters will do what they can to assist, but a further small labour charge may apply.
  • The company cannot be held responsible for damage to furniture not moved by the customer, if the installation teams cause damage this should be taken up with them directly – all our installation teams are fully insured.
  • Fitting appointments are made in good faith but the exact arrival and duration times cannot be guaranteed due to the nature and unpredictability of the work involved. We cannot accept liability for delayed arrival, but you can be assured that the fitters will complete your work even if it exceeds the expected time allocation. If by reason of the design of the Purchaser’s house or the size of the goods purchased, it shall be necessary either to remove doors or windows to gain access for goods (where possible), the Company may make reasonable charge for time and labour involved.
  • Doors/or plinths may need to be trimmed to allow clearance. This is not part of the fitting work unless this has been specifically agreed. Fitters may remove doors/plinths to facilitate fitting and have them ready for you or your appointed carpenter to carry out the trimming and re-hanging/installation.
  • Whilst we do remove the left-over materials provided by The Company, our fitting teams will not vacuum your new carpet once fitted as this is time consuming for them and is beyond the remit of flooring fitters. If you wish for this service it must be agreed upon in advance by both parties – an additional charge may be levied.
  • Whilst every care will be taken by the installation team, it cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to underfloor pipes and cables, nor for any subsequent damages resulting therefrom.
  • Whilst every care will be taken by the installation teams, it cannot he held responsible for any damage to doors or paintwork as a result of installation or manoeuvring of the carpets. Tools and equipment such as knee kickers are heavy and damage to paintwork is inevitable to gain a professional installation. You should arrange with your decorators to re-visit your home once the carpet is fitted to touch up the paintwork. The company cannot be held liable for any additional charges resulting therefrom.
  • The Company may charge to remove old floor coverings or wastage from your premises. However, if you ring your local Council, they should be able to remove this on your behalf.

You are reminded that all orders placed with and accepted by us, form part of a legally binding contract. Once this agreement has been signed by yourself, and whilst we will always endeavour to act sympathetically to your requests the following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • Goods, from stock or specially ordered for you cannot be cancelled or altered once you have entered into the contract.
  • Where circumstances enable us to accept a cancellation we must levy a charge equivalent to 50% of the order value.
  • Cancellation of an installation date after the minimum 2 working days’ notice will result in the installation charge being reapplied and payable before the rearranged installation date, unless previously discussed and agreed by both parties.

Whilst every effort will be made to match colours and finishes, all natural and synthetic colours and finishes can only be supplied on the understanding that there is always a possibility of variation. The samples provided to you are intended to give a general impression of the colour and pattern colours vary from batch to batch and exact matching between separate pieces (especially 4m and 5m rolls) cannot be guaranteed.

All carpets are liable to delivery pressure marking to a lesser or greater degree. This cannot be entirely prevented and should disappear as the carpet settles this is not a manufacturing fault. Neither the Company nor their supplier can accept responsibility for this phenomenon.

All carpets are cut at 10cm intervals with a minimum order length of 1metre. All sizes are approximate and within a tolerance of plus or minus 1.25% in accordance with BS3655. Carpets and rugs are soft, luxurious products and flattening of the pile will occur as a natural result of use. Flattening will change the apparent colour of the carpet (“shading”), may be permanent (“pile reversal”), and this may appear to be random, but this is not a fault. Areas where foot traffic twists and turns are especially prone to such changes in appearance. The sides of the pile appear a slightly different shade in colour to the ends and so any change in angle or direction of the pile may change the apparent colour of the carpet and this may be patchy. Such changes do not alter the durability of the carpet.

All vinyls are cut at 10cm intervals with a minimum order length of 30cm. All sizes are approximate and within a tolerance of plus or minus 1.25% in accordance with British Standard 3655. If your room is close to the nominal width of the vinyl please allow extra material.

Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring will be affected by moisture. Follow the suppliers fitting and maintenance instructions carefully to prevent swelling of the joints or other moisture-related problems.

Product Guarantees

We are responsible for ensuring that the goods we supply are of satisfactory quality, conform to the sample and are fit for the purpose for which they are sold. Certain products have additional guarantees provided by us or the manufacturer. Where they are provided by the manufacturer we accept no responsibility for these additional warranties or guarantees.

Cancellations and Returns

By purchasing over the internet or by telephone you are entering into a “Distance Contract”. In addition to your normal statutory rights as a consumer you also have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to 14 days after the date your order is delivered to you, or if you have ordered more than one item and they are delivered on different dates, 14 days after the date of the last delivery of your order.

This right does not apply to products that are made to your specifications. This includes floor coverings which have been cut from a roll to your specific order size. In respect of any sealed mattress, mattress protector, pillow or bedding, these have been sealed to both protect the goods and for health and hygiene reasons. Consequently, if they are unsealed after delivery then your right to cancel and return the goods lapses. You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods until the end of any cooling off period.

If your order has not been delivered and you wish to cancel your order, call our team on 0161 465 7587 or email [email protected].

If your order has not been cut to your specification we will accept a cancellation and refund your money. If, however, the product has been cut to your specifications we will accept cancellation and deduct 20% of the purchase price from the refund we issue to you to cover the losses we will incur in selling your purchase as a reduced-price remnant in one of our stores. We will advise you of any such charge and you may then decide whether you wish to proceed to cancel the order. When your goods have been delivered, you have a reasonable opportunity to make sure that they are the goods you ordered.

If not you should not cut into, fit or use them (other than to check whether they are the right goods). You should retain the packaging so that this can be reused, if possible, for their return. You will be responsible for the condition of the goods and for their reasonable care whilst they are in your possession. Call our team on 0161 465 7587 or email [email protected] within 14 days of delivery.

If you cancel your order and wish to return the products in accordance with your statutory right to cancel, we will arrange collection of the products. There will be a collection charge equal to the delivery charge for the product, except in respect of rugs, which may be returned without charge to the store.

Any refund of the purchase price in respect of returns, will be made after deducting the applicable collection charge. After this statutory fourteen day ‘cooling off’ period, you have the protection of your statutory rights. If you are unsure of your rights, please do not hesitate to seek advice from Trading Standards or other advisory body.
